Dangerous Parts

For the use of adults only – 18 years of age onwards

The beauty of this kata is that you dont need anyone to practice with, but its best if you do. you dont even need to do the actions just think them through on the bus :D - A hint for remembering the order is that it generally goes from top to bottom 

I.e: 

on the head temple is first and throat is last.

on the back neck is first and heel is last.


As ever - disregard this in preference of the technique of person on the mat with the highest grade.

 HEAD:


  1. Temple – Strike to both temples on the left and right hand side using three fingers. 
    • Stance : Facing Uke
  2. Bridge of the Nose – right hand side strike downwards, thumbs tucked in
    • Stance : Sideways Left onto Uke
  3. Eyes – strikethrough using two fingers on right hand
    • Stance : Step through with left leg, left hand on shoulder
  4. Mastoids Ganglia – apply upwards both sides using two fingers until Uke taps
    • Stance : Facing Uke, Kiba Dach
  5. Filtrum – Under nose, right hand side strike upwards, thumbs tucked in
    • Stance : Sideways Left onto Uke
  6. Jaw – Right hand side strike down to Jaw for dislocation, thumbs tucked in
    • Stance : Sideways Left onto Uke
  7. Carotid Ateries – Double strike on left and right hand side,palms up,thumbs in
    • Stance : Facing Uke, Kiba Dach
  8. Larynx – (specific part of throat) Right hand side strike, feet Parallel to Uke – Kei on strike
    • Stance : Sideways Left onto Uke

 

Front

  


  1. Kidneys – Double Strike,strike through with palms(thumbs in) and pull back with fist
    • Stance : Facing Uke, Kiba Dach
  2. Solar Plexus – Strike upwards with a right fist into Solar Plexus
    • Stance : Step through with left leg
  3. Groin – Strike with right knee to Groin, do not hold onto Uke
    • stance : Facing Uke, balance on left leg
  4. Knee - Kick across left knee with right foot, do not hold onto Uke
    • Stance : Facing Uke, balance on left leg
  5. Shin Bone – Strike down along shin with side of right foot, do not hold onto Uke
    • Stance : Facing Uke, balance on left leg
  6. Foot – Stamp down with right foot just outside Uke’s facing left foot
    • Stance : Facing Uke, balance on left leg until stamp
  7. Wrist - Strike Down to Wrist – Facing right arm, thumbs in
    • Stance : Step forwards with left leg
  8. Elbow - Strike up under elbow – Facing right arm, thumbs in
    • Stance : Remain forwards with left leg
7&8 Wrist and Elbow - Double strike to both areas on the facing right arm
    • Stance : Step forwards to right hand side with right leg

 

Back

 

  1. Carotids - Double hand side strike around to Carotids, palm up, thumbs in
    • Stance : Facing Uke, Kiba Dach
  2. Medulla Oblongata – Right hand side strike (Where spine joins skull), thumbs in
    • Stance : Sideways Left onto Uke
  3. Heart - Strike to heart through centre of Shoulder Blades, using forearm and fist
    • Stance : Step through with left leg
  4. Kidneys - Double kidney strike with fists
    • Stance : Facing Uke, Kiba Dach
  5. Base of Spine - Elbow to base of Spine (just below belt area), hand on fist
    • Stance : Sideways Left onto Uke
  6. Coccyx - Elbow to Coccyx (top of bottom), hand on fist
    • Stance : Sideways Left onto Uke
  7. Back of Knee – Strike through to back of knee with right foot(make it flex)
    • Stance : Facing Uke, balance on left leg
  8. Achilles Tendon – Kick down to Achilles Tendon with right foot (keep foot off floor)
    • Stance : Stance : Facing Uke, balance on left leg

Coccyx – hold shoulders and using right knee strike into Coccyx
Stance : Facing Uke, hold shoulders and pull back
